Daniel Moon

Daniel Moon, a Korean and U.S. national, is Manager of the Global Transactions Team (GTT) at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group.  As GTT Manager, he is responsible for i) providing strategic and operational leadership for the GTT to support the Guarantee Platform; ii) building a leading global team of underwriters through talent acquisition, skills development, and shaping organizational culture to meet the aspirations of the Guarantee Platform; and iii) ensuring technical excellence in underwriting by coordinating support and maintaining quality control throughout the execution process.

Daniel joined MIGA in 2017 as Counsel in the Legal Department and later served as Advisor to MIGA’s Executive Vice President, contributing to corporate strategy, operations, and institutional priorities. Prior to joining MIGA, he was a senior associate at White & Case LLP in New York, specializing in energy, infrastructure, and project finance. His professional experience also includes roles in the shipbuilding industry and with an Export Credit Agency.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seoul National University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
